January 2017!

This weekend, Ampers Greg and Peter represented us Knoxville, Tenn. at the regional Coffee Champs competition. Roasters, brewers, tasters and baristas faced-off in a number of categories. While Peter didn’t qualify, Greg placed 4/36 in Brewer’s and is advancing to nationals in Seattle in April!! Both Ampers proudly served Burundian coffee from the Long Miles Coffee Project.

We’re so excited to be launching Amp-Ed this month, a series of classes to help you learn more about coffee! Our first class, Latte Art Basics, is already full, but check back for links to next months classes. You can still sign up for a special Coffee 101: Home Pourover Basics class that will take place at Mise En Place Kitchen Store in Lancaster to learn the techniques behind making the perfect cup at home.

End of Summer Updates!

We’ve been busy and not blogging as much as we’d like, so we’ll hit you with a couple fast facts to help wrap up summer at Little Amps Coffee Roasters:

*Great new and somewhat limited coffees from Central America and East Africa are in shops and online!
*We’re hosting a Back 2 Skool TNT (a latte art comp, for those not in the know) 9/8 at 133 State St. $5 to pour but free to hang and drink beer!
*We’ve been Amping up our friends’ office spaces and we’d LOVE to talk about yours!
*NITRO has been HOT (cold) and it’s been fun to rotate through some s/o coffees.

Okay now come in and hang soon!

New Shop is HERE!

We did it.  We opened a third LITTLE AMPS in Harrisburg.  This time, it’s not a super vibey shop with neat furniture and a bangin’ hi-fi, but a sleek and efficient kiosk in Strawberry Square.  We are really pumped on our new Linea espresso machine and the Fetco XTS brewer as well as the chance to service a whole new clientle!  We’d love you to check it out if you’re that far downtown.

Otherwise, we’re bringing in new coffees, roasting them the best we can, and having a ton of fun getting ready for the holidaze.  Look for limited edition coffees and neat merch coming soon!

Keep on rockin’ in the free world.  xo, Little Amps.
