Our current whole bean decaffeinated coffee comes from Tolima, Colombia on behalf of Collaboraitve Coffee Source. This is hands down the best decaf we've ever had! Caffeine is removed through a natural process known as sugarcane or EA (Ethyl Acetate) where caffeine solids are removed using a fermented sugarcane extract. The coffee is comprised of multiple small producer lots in Tolima who grow coffee between 1450-1750 meters above sea level.
We prepare this as espresso, where the chocolate notes get real heavy and fudgy. Yum!
