Ixban is a small producer group in San Pedro Necta, Huehuetenango, Guatemala who grow Bourbon, Caturra, and Pache varieties between 1600-1750 meters above sea level. These eight producers have been working with coffee, and each other, their entire lives.

The coffee is handpicked and sorted by the members of the family, dried on their own patios, and then processed at the Bella Villa dry mill.

We purchased this coffee through Collaborative Coffee Source, who have worked with Bella Vista to outsource the best coffees they can from that area.

Syrupy dark chocolate really carries this coffee's cup profile, with lime acidity and floral notes coming out as it cools, sort of like a melted snickers washed down with lavender limeade.
